Job Summary:
The 21st CCLC Site Coordinator, under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, manages all operations at one school-based center after school/camp days and summer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, implement and evaluate site programs, services and activities in cooperation with the 21st CCLC Program Director.
- Oversee supervision of students from beginning of program to release at end of day
- Ensure implementation of approved 21st CCLC application (monitor program/budget).
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs and activities that prepare youth for success while promoting safety and program quality.
- Ensure that the program has a posted schedule (and is followed consistently) and daily written lesson plans with staff assigned to specific duties
- Collect and document all objectives, outcomes, student data and other information as needed in reports to supervisor including tracking attendance, enrollment and calendar of activities.
- Gather and organize supplies for hands on project-based learning
- Conduct program orientation for staff, parents and students
- Develop system for regular communication with families.
- Coordinate a minimum of six family events per year.
- Hire and supervise part-time program teachers/assistants and assist with recruiting volunteer staff.
- Recruit, enroll and retain students who are recommended for the program; keep student/staff files updated and in compliance.
- Demonstrate flexibility and ability to manage challenging situations, including helping to monitor and supervise students during the afterschool program.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations.
- Coordination and distribution of daily meals/snacks and tracking of required data.
- Develop and adhere to Positive Behavior Support System (PBIS) for the program based on school day systems.
- Maintain routine contact with principal, teachers, afterschool staff and volunteers to discuss issues, challenges and opportunities for collaboration.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and Training:
- Prefer BA degree in the field of education, public administration or related field. Associate or equivalent college credits required.
- First Aid/CPR Trained
- DCF 45 Hours
Minimum Experience/Skills:
- Experience in managing after school/ summer programming or youth development programming for elementary students.
- Supervisory experience
- Strong organization and excellent written and communication skills
- Commitment to helping all students succeed
- Knowledge of developmentally-appropriate curriculum activities for helping students develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.
